Law journal cite styles bug me too. The best BSTs I know of are the updated batch for &lt;a href=&quot;http://polmeth.wustl.edu/polanalysis.php&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;APSR, PA, and JOP at Political Analysis&lt;/a&gt;. The package biblatex might be helpful — I was going to use it to switch in-text citations to footnote ones for BJPS before a coauthor cajoled an undergrad into doing it for us.</description>
