I’ve got it set up to dual-boot, but I did have to add the following options to the grub defaults at etc/default/grub, both from the installation CD and subsequently:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="i8042.reset i8042.nomux i8042.nopnp i8042.noloop"

A major advantage of Meerkat is that the packages I need — jags, texlive-base and texlive-xetex — seem to be fairly up to date.

I needed PHP5, and the server I was on didn’t have PHP5.

So stuff got migrated over to a new server.

That broke my blog.

I though, I’ll reinstall Wordpress on the server, and, after having carefully backed up the MySQL database, deleted the folder and started again.

Except I’d forgotten that file uploads are saved in the Wordpress folder.

So don’t look for many images from previous posts, cos there ain’t none…
